我的noteboook一直用SuSE Linux
最近想换到Debian环境下
不知道Debian对硬件支持的好不好？
有人用notebook装Debian吗
介绍一下可以吗

我曾在 Dell D600、compaq nc4000、HP Pavilion dv1000 上分别安装了debian 和 gentoo，硬件支持没有遇到任何问题。

really not good with my thinkpad t42.. really troublesome as it doesn't support for some critical device like network card - which uses e1000 and ipw2200. One has to upgrade the kernel, as for me, to 2.4.31 the latest version. so far, i still don't know how to get 2.6.x kernel able to work with debian-30r5 ..
another problem is the official version woody-30r5 installation package is not so complete one. you have to frequently use dselect or apt -get to install possible packages.
i've felt very tired of typing apt-get and doing configuration test and recompiling over and over...

anyway, woody-30r5 is the latest official stable version. i just downloaded from debian.org. sarge is not yet found released there by now.
