Changing password through web interface is NOT very secure unless you are very comportable working with SSL. But even with SSL, not all browsers support SSL very well. Anyway, if you want to make your life easier, consider the following:
1. You can join the server to a Windows domain so that Windows domain controller (DC) can be used to authenticate user acess.
2. You can configure your Samba server to be your PDC if you don't have a Windows DC.
