Post output of:
Code:
br /]/sbin/lsmod
/sbin/lspci
Note, you can redirect output to a file:
Code:
br /]/sbin/lsmod > lsmod.output.txt

Linux is the kernel. The entire system is called GNU/Linux.

Will00,

The main thing I would ask you is do you have a compatible sound card for Linux, if your like me and went and got the Audigy X-Fi then your outta luck along with some other cards.  The other thing that you are not telling us is if the Module is loaded or if you compiled it in your kernel.  Just telling us that its not working and no mixer is present doesn't help us.  Along with the fact we need to know what X-Window your using and if you are using alsa or oss.
