| SUSE 10.2 Soundblaster will not work with KDE / Gnome - But will in YAST |

I had SUSE 9.3 Installed with everything working. I did a clean installl of SUSE 10.2. No Sound works at all unless I go into YAST and click on sound card, and then on Volume. I use the test function and I do get sound. KMIX shows sound not available, and No Mixer. Interesting problem but I am new to Linux and have not been able to solve this problem. I also installed Gnome Desktop with the exact same issues repeating. Again, the sound card does work when I go into YAST and test it. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the card. This does not work. I have tried a variety of command lines that do not seem to get things going. The sound is dead in Audio and Video mode as well.  Anyone had this same problem. This is a Soundblaster Live Card using ALSA Driver.
