When I switch from KDE to a frame buffer -- F1-F6 -- I get crazy results.
F1 gives me a multicolored screen instead of the SuSe 9.3 Terminal I love so much.
F2-F6 show nothing. Just black.
I have a Toshiba tecra M4 Laptop-- nvidia driven. I installed the Nvidia drivers to get KDE to work-- and not it seems KDE and Gnome are fine but -- the frame buffers are bad.
I can start a new session and go into run level 3 I just can use the CRTL - ALT F1-F6 keys.
Ideas? ?
I am searching everywhere. As soon as I get everything working on this Tecra I will post a complete guide on my website.

[div class='quotetop']QUOTE[/div][div class='quotemain'] the frame buffers are bad. [/quote] Disable frame buffer support in the kernel, and recompile it. [div class='quotetop']QUOTE[/div][div class='quotemain'] F1 gives me a multicolored screen instead of the SuSe 9.3 Terminal I love so much.

Try booting from a LiveCD.
