Hello everyone,

I have had some crash issues with my JVM and I have found some work around to the crash problem. And the work around suggests that I export an environment variable named "LD_PRELOAD" pointing to /path/to/jdk/jre/lib/i386/client/libjsig.so. And I have followed the suggestion and this seems to work and I haven't had any crash issues with the JVM since then. However, now I am getting the following error message printed by ld.so.
Code:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/path/to/jdk/jre/lib/i386/client/libjsig.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

This message is printed on the screen anytime I execute any command. Sometimes it is printed 5 times in a row or at least once before executing any command, it happens consistently. Now I have no clue what I should do to get rid of this issue. BTW i have noticed that this error does not occur on Redhat but it occurs on SUSE. And my SUSE is Linux version 2.6.16.21-0.8-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.1.0 (SUSE Linux)) #1 (I copied and pasted the contents of /proc/version if anybody needs to know what the version is).

Any advice or suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Khurram
