| system shutsdown while installing redhat linux 9.0 |

i am trying to install redhat linux 9.0 on a pentium 4 system.
during installation the system shutsdown .i cant figure out what the problem is.
the system does not shutdown gracefully i.e. it just shuts off as though someone removed the power cable.
after that when i try to start it using the power button it does not for a few minutes.
the instalation reaches about halfway when installing the packages
it is an assembled PC.installed from a CD.its not a retail version.

What hardware? Red Hat 9.0 is very, very, very old. After that Fedora Core 1, 2, 3, 4 and now 5 has been released. Please upgrade.
