What medium (dialup, cable, etc ..) you are using to connect to your ISP?

Please give complete information when asking a question.
Since you are using ADSL, what modem/router do you use? How do you connect your computer to it? It should be plug n' play.

Hi, all
Sorry for hijacking this thread, but as it was dead, I thought to revive it instead of posting a new one because it is about the same subject.
I'm using Debian 2.6.18-4-amd64. My router is a BT Voyager-2500V connected to a 8Mb ADSL internet connection. It works great on Windows.
However, when I'm installing Debian from the DVD, DHCP doesn't resolve anything and I stay connectless.
As weird as it may sound, when I install Debian from Windows using Goodbye-Windows website, it manages to set up the internet connection properly.
So, why does it install from the internet and not from the DVD?
