My setup is as follows:
>> firewall (ipcop) - redirects ports 53 (tcp and udp) for the DNS server (debian/bind)
It works great, but sometimes the mail.xxxxxx.com cant be resolved outside, so I cant receive mail from others domains. My server is Master and my ISP is the Slave. My questions are:
1) The host file must contain any alias? 2) Its good or necessary to put redirection in sites with free dns services? 3) The name of the DNS server matters? 4) Whats the importance of the file resolv.conf?
Sorry for my english and thanks for all reading this topic.
