i use proftpd on my mandriva, i ve already success accessing my ftp from local network but i cant access it from external
i use port 3024 is there something wrong if i replace port number
any one can tell me why

What is your network setup? Are you going through a firewall? Check the firewall settings?
The FTP server is listening on one port. If you change the port, then client should know the port to connect to.
