Are there any livecd versions that support serial ata hd's?  I was running windows xp, and it crashed.. so now I'm trying to recover all my important files from my hd... but it's serial ata.  I'm currently using knoppix 3.2 which doesn't work.  Anything to help would be great...

Thanks,
Matt

I'm currently using knoppix 3.2 which doesn't work.

3.2 is really old, considering the fact that Knoppix has released 3.7 has been released. Try a recent distribution.

im on a knoppix 3.7 cd right now and im trying to access an ATA HD to get data off for a friend of mine but knoppix wont read the ATA (i put it into my laptop and it read the IDE so i'm pretty sure its just the fact that its an ATA drive). does anyone have any ideas? if you do PLEASE email me at max (at) maxglasser (dot) com if you know any information (or if no drivers are available). ive tried bartPE and it wont load because the CD doesnt seem to be burning properly. (OR IM at wakebrdr5588 on aim)
