| Can someone tell me what's wrong & what this message means that keeps popping up |

Here is the problem I started having a week ago. Can anyone tell me what's going on? It's only when I'm on the home page. If I can click on any tab, mail, hotmail, anything, I can do whatever I want. But, if I click on the home page or if I can't click on something fast enough, before that message comes up, then as soon as the message appears, the whole window closes and I have to reclick on the desk top icon to open things up again. Here is the message I started getting:
Microsoft Visual ++ Run Time Library Run time error!! Program c:program filesmozilla firefoxfirefox.exe This application has requested the run to terminate it in an usual way. Please contact application's support for more information.

First of all this is a linux forum 
Have you tried to uninstall firefox, and install again (a newer version of course if it is available).
