Please cast your vote for the thing which you personally like the most about open-source software. This is eventually going to be compiled into an article, so comments are welcome. If you don't wish to be quoted, please add a post-script to your comment and let me know. Also, if your opinion cannot be summed up by one of the poll options (i.e. you dislike OSS), feel free to comment on that as well.
Thanks! - AT

More than the software, it is the people who make it happen that I like the most God Bless the Open Source Community!!

Those of us who develop software (or are learning to do so, like myself) are also software users, therefore we are able to take in our own opinions of what is worth while and what isn't, then with the use of forums or polls, these opinions can be supported or rejected, and at that point you develop with a team and supporters on sourceforge.net or a server with the same purpose, thus allowing the open source community access to everything from docs to source code and they may participate as well. Without open source software, there would be no freedom of expression through code, otherwise we would all be using only proprietary software. Is Linux responsible for open source? yes, more or less; but would it still exhist without Linux? probably, i'm sure someone would have done it eventually.

p.s.- i don't mind being quoted, just lemme know if you do and where i can find the article
