lol sorry about that. i just thought it might've been a known issue with
dual boot of 64bit. it's a gigabyte 8knspro mobo, std bios config: both
hdds are ata, winxp drive is the master, the linux drive is slave on the
same channel. nic is just onboard 10/100/1000. video card is a radeon
9600XT. i've tried to install 32bit fedora and suse, both work fine so
i'm not sure what's up and i'm not familiar enough with it all to
troubleshoot myself.
