Hi, I have installed the Linux doom3 demo and everything went fine at the installation. When I am loading the game, it loads correctly, the sound starts, then I see the planet at the beginning that turns during the music. From this point, I can't do anything else. The music is playing and the planet is moving but there is nothing I can do that will start the game. I have to make Ctrl-Alt-F2 to get a console and kill the application. The last thing written at the console is "Async thread started".
I tried different options that I found on other forums but it did not change anything: +set sys_videoRam 128 +set s_driver oss +set in_tty 0 +set developer 1 +set logfile 1
I have included the end of the log file:

hey there I do have the same problem - EXACLY the same problem. Any help would also be appreciated by me!!!!! and bobbinette, if you find out anything, please tell me!
inputs from me: I played around with opengl and stuff, and I'm not sure if this has to do with hardware acceleration, because I do have problem with any other linux games too! they don't have no video output - except doom3, same as yours, shows the planet and music. doom3 works onto my hardware, I do know that, because I tried it in winxp just to find out if it would work. it did. but because I am not a big windows fan, I do really want to make it play in linux!! help please!!
