Hi guys!!!!!

I am a new user and I have a problem..
I installed on my Dell Latitude D505 Ubuntu and I'd like to use the removable floppy.
To use it I have to sobstitute the Cd-drive with it, but, after I've done it, there isn't the device file /dev/fd0.

I worked out that exist the MAKEFLOPPIES command that creates some device files, but I didn't understand how to use it.

Does anybody know how I could resolve the problem, I mean mount the floppy?

normally it mounts automatticly.. wink.gif
if not.. post your /etc/fstab

go to the console and type: (as root)
CODE
mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy

that will mount your floppydrive wink.gif
