Scsi Recognition Of Tape Drive

Hello

I have an Advansys ASC3030 SCSI card on a Linux Redhat 7.2 machine. It is connected to a Seagate CTT8000E-S tape drive. When booting takes place it recognizes the SCSI card and all its parameters as displayed by a "dmesg" command but it fails to display any details about the tape drive connected to it. In "/etc/fstab" there is no listing of any tape devices.

I have terminated the tape drive, ensured that it is powered and switched on and connected properly to the SCSI card with a SCSI connector. There appears to be no way to know whether it is on as the LED above the tape on the drive is not lit and there are no other LEDS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Frank

I've never worked with tape drives before, but post us the output of
CODE
cat /proc/scsi/scsi
cat /proc/partitions
----
Windows is like Linux, only stuck in runlevel 6.

Hello Plaz

The /proc/scsi/scsi file states that there are no attached devices.

The /proc/partitions file contains the following:

I have verified that the SCSI card is an ABP940-U/ABP960-U card. I have tried to get help from Initio the company that bought bankrupt Advansys 3 years ago but they claim they do not have any information about the card.
